Research at the intersection of geology, biology, and chemistry.

Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at the University of Regina. My broad research interests are centred on geobiology and geochemistry. Ongoing areas of research include the trace metal record of banded iron formations and its relation to evolving seawater and life. Other areas of interest include particle surface reactivity, the controls on trace element fluxes from aqueous environments to contemporaneous sediments, and the development of novel methods for assessing past climate variability.
